Content: This item consists of a picture postcard to ÔSUMI Yoshimichi from MIHARA Shichisuke in Shimonoseki, Japan. The postcard depicts Betelenut trees in Formosa (Taiwan) and is postmarked 16 Nov 1943. The content of the postcard relates to a recent campaign in Bouganville. It was probably captured in the Philippines in late 1944 or early 1945.
