Content: | This is a pictorial propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office. It includes a number of pictures depicting victorious moments of the Allied Forces in the Pacific. Images captured by the leaflet include the fall of Kwajalein, the moment before the Allied landing on Hollandia on 22 April, the capture of Madang on 24 April, the landing on Biak on 20 June, the capture of Noemfoor on 6 July, the fall of Saipan on 9 July and Guam on 9 August, and the landing of US troops on Tinian on 31 July. The leaflet also includes four photos which indicate the superiority and strength of the Allied Navy and Air Force. 150,000 of them were printed. About 50,000 of these leaflets were dispatched to Hollandia between 21 and 29 October 1944, 80,000 to Darwin between 27 October and 1 November 1944, and 20,000 to Nadzab on 28 October 1944. |
