Content: This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) interrogation report for JA148049 of the 5th Air Signals Regiment 1st Company, who was captured on 9 May 1944. JA148049, a 23 year old Superior Private from Saitama Prefecture, was wounded when he was captured in Tanahmerah by US troops. During the interrogation, JA148049 provided information on unit organisation, movements, social conditions in Japan, facilities in Palau, and Allied air attacks in Rabaul and Wewak.
