Content: | This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) translation of a Japanese publication captured at Fort Stotsenburg, Luzon, on 4 February 1945 during the Allied campaign to recapture the Philippines. This item is a selective translation of an ultra-secret serial, no. 101/69, entitled "Record of anti-aircraft action". It contains entries from the log of the Light Cruiser Kiso between 13 and 14 November 1944. The entries record the location of aircraft during combat, orders given, results of anti-aircraft fire and bomb hits received. Kiso was beached after receiving three direct hits during the two-day action. Seven Allied aircraft were shot down. |
