Content: | This is a Japanese-language propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office, targeting Formosan men in the Japanese forces. The message urges Formosan soldiers to surrender to the Allied Forces so as to return to their country after the war. It guarantees that they will be treated kindly and provided with food and medical treatment. The leaflet includes a large picture of Formosan POWs queuing for food and drinks. 50,000 of them were printed. 26,000 of these leaflets were dispatched to Hollandia between 15 and 17 October 1944. |
