Content: This item is a Japanese-language propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office. An English translation of the text is attached. The message stresses that there is no point in continuing the fight in such a hopeless situation. It includes two pictures, one showing Japanese POWs working in a field in Australia and the other depicting a wounded Japanese serviceman looked after by an Australian soldier. The back page has an English message stating that the holder has ceased resistance and should be treated in accordance with international law.
