Content: | This item is a Japanese-language propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office. An English translation of the text is attached. The message states that the Allied offensive against Japanese bases in the Central Pacific has been successful and the Gilbert and Marshall Islands have been occupied. Bombing of Truk and Palau has been severe. The operation in Palau by American Naval and Air Forces on 4 and 5 April resulted in heavy damage Japanese naval power. It claims the Japanese position is becoming desperate. |
