| Content: | This item is a photocopy of a military pocket book that belonged to a Superior Private FUJISAWA, from the 54th Infantry Regiment of the 17th Division. The pages of the pocket book that have survived contain Pte FUJISAWA's private notes on his military career, including his recruitment to the 23rd Chûbu Unit in December 1942, his service as a military guard in Nanking and Shanghai, and his eventual dispatch to Rabaul in 1943. There is also a printed table with spaces for recording salary payments, but these have been left blank. This item was captured at Suluan in July 1944. |
