Content: This item is a collection of official forms recording the details of patients admitted to the 20th Division 4th Field Hospital for treatment of illness or injuries during the month of August 1943. Each slip records the name, rank, unit and date of admission of each patient, as well as the date and place that he was injured or fell sick. Most of the patients were suffering from malaria, and each admission was signed in by a member of the hospital staff named TANIMA (rank unspecified). Some of the slips are written on recycled paper that seems to have been captured from Allied forces. This item was captured at Sio in June 1944.
