Content: This item is a record of service for Corporal YASUTSUNE Hisato, of the 78th Infantry Regiment 1st Infantry Gun Detachment, who died in battle at Kabumi in February 1944. As well as the date and cause of death, the document lists YASUTSUNE's service record in the Imperial Army, beginning with his induction into the 78th Infantry Regiment in 1940. YASUTSUNE subsequently took part in military operations at Palau before landing with his unit at Hansa Bay in May 1944. This item was captured at Anamo in July 1944.
