BOMURA, a 26 year old Sergeant Major from Kumamoto and wireless operator and gunner, was captured by Australian troops five days after his plane was shot down. He was the only survivor from the crash. Initially, he gave the false of as YOSHIDA Yoshio. BOMURA was interviewed several times by the investigators. During the interrogation, BOMURA provided a detailed personnel list of the 4th and 5th Air Division, performance of Japanese aircraft, communication equipment, social conditions in Japan, and his feelings about being captured.
