Content: | This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) interrogation report for JA145752 of the 20th Engineer Regiment, who was captured in Singorkai area on 20 March 1944. JA145752 was captured by local people and Australian troops, but the circumstances of his capture were not included in the report. During the interrogation, JA145752 provided information on Allied prisoners of war whom he saw in Korea. While he was in Taikyo in July 1942, he saw about 500 Australian prisoners of war who had been captured in Malaya. He detailed the conditions of the Australians and reported that they were relatively treated well. |
