Content: | This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) research report on the electrical firms in Japan. The enquiry was received on 29 July 1943 and an answer despatched on 4 August 1943. Drawing from statements by prisoners of war, Japanese year books, "Who's who in Japan 1939-40" and other ATIS sources, the report contains information on important electrical firms engaged in radio and radar research in Japan, the names of Japanese scientists connected with radio research, particulars of a radar set in Yokosuka, the type of radar operating in Salamaua, Kavieng and Rabaul, and the names of electrical engineers living in Australia who had visited Japan. |
