Content: This Japanese-language propaganda leaflet was produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office at the end of the Pacific War. An English translation of the text is attached. It is the proclamation by General Blamey about the surrender of Japanese troops to the Allies. It states that General Blamey is designated to accept Japanese surrender and that all Japanese troops should lay down their arms. The pamphlet was translated into Dutch and Indonesian as well as Japanese. The English version of the leaflet includes a section to prisoners of war and civilians assuring them that they will soon be liberated.
