Content: This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) interrogation report for 1st Class Private NAGAO Takashi of the 221st Airfield Battalion Maintenance Company 4th Platoon, who was captured on Goodenough Island on 6 April 1943. NAGAO, a 22 year old 1st Class Private from Okayama, was captured by Australian troops after he and his companions reached an island after the sinking of Kenbu Maru on 3 March During the interrogation, NAGAO provided information on the unit organisation, Army aircraft and their identification, landing crafts, and the situation in Japan. The appendices include a list of medals and colour patches and two sketch maps, one of Tonan Airfield in Korea and another in Rapopo.
