Content: This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) research report issued on 1 December 1945 on the planning and execution of the attack on Pearl Harbor. It contains information on the planning of the Pearl Harbor operation, the assembly of the task force at Tankan Bay (Kurile Islands), details of the outward passage, when the crew were informed of the intended strike, method of fuelling, accounts of the air–surface strikes, an account from the Japanese Naval Information Department, submarine operations, photographs of the crew members of the midget submarines lost during the raid, and the return voyage. The appendix contains 10 aerial photographs of the attack.
