Content: This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) interrogation report for Superior Private TAMAOKI Akira of the 55th Supply Regiment 2nd Company, who was captured near the Kumusi River in March 1943. TAMAOKI, a 25 year old Superior Private from Ehime, was suffering from exhaustion and malaria when he was captured by US troops. TAMAOKI was a member of a transport company which was involved in the attack on Port Moresby by Japanese troops. During the interrogation, TAMAOKI provided information on unit movements, organisation, equipment and battles in Papua.
