Content: This item is a Japanese-language propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office. An English translation of the text is attached. The leaflet mentions the advance of the Allied Forces to Halmaheras and the Philippines, in addition to their successful landings at Aitape, Hollandia and Sansapor. It also reports the loss of naval power by the Japanese in the area. The message implies that the recipient should surrender now to serve their country in the future rather than die uselessly. The map on the back of the leaflet indicates the areas which have been captured by the Allied Forces recently. 100,000 of them were printed. 102,000 of these leaflets were dispatched to Nadzab on 7 December 1944.
