Content: This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) interrogation report for JA147526 of the 90th Garrison Unit (Naval), who surrendered to US troops on 1 May 1944 at Humboldt Bay, near Hollandia. JA147526, a 29 year old 1st class seaman from Shimo-machi, provided information on the organisation and strength of the 90th Garrison Unit, radar equipment on Japanese ships, rumours of the sinking of the battleship Mutsu at Kure due to an unexplained explosion, and damage to the destroyer Hibiki off Kiska in June 1943. The appendix contains an organisational chart for the 90th Garrison Unit.
