Content: | This item is a Japanese-language propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office. An English translation of the text is attached and dated on 29 January 1945. This issue reports the advance of the American troops on Luzon, the capture of the finest airfield in the Philippines by the Allies, the re-establishment of supply lines between China and India and the air attack on Tokyo on 27 January. The advance of the Russians to Berlin and the situation in Western Europe are also discussed. 120,000 of them were printed. 20,000 of these leaflets were dispatched to Darwin on 7 February 1945, 20,000 to Torokina on 7 February 1945, 20,000 to Tadji on 7 February 1945, 20,000 to Hollandia on 7 February 1945 and 23,800 to Morotai on 9 February 1945. |
