内容の概要This item is a copy of a propaganda news bulletin produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office. It reports that a joint proclamation, revealing Allied terms and calling for the unconditional surrender of Japan, was broadcast by the media of the Allied nations, in response to a Japanese media report implying Japan's willingness to cease hostilities. The bulletin also mentions that the Allied Forces distributed copies of a leaflet which stated that the American Air Force would destroy military installations in major Japanese cities and that the Americans, in accordance with their humanitarian policy, were encouraging innocent Japanese civilians to flee these cities. The bulletin says that these cities had already been hit by air-raids and left in flames. It also reports that the Emperor had granted money for the Japanese POWs in enemy countries through the International Red Cross. Copies of this bulletin were to be distributed in the north, west and the upper reaches of Balikpapan Bay, Sangga Sangga and Tirim.
