| This sub-series consists of 11 fragments and translations of diaries of Japanese soldiers. Though the diaries are often short, they give an insight into the personal experience of war in the Pacific, often commenting on military operations, difficulty of maintaining supply, interaction with the native peoples, and Allied attacks.
