Content: This item is a carbon copy of a letter dated 8 April 1946 from Chief of Staff of the South East Area Army to his counterpart in the 8th Military District. It is a reply to an inquiry of the Australian forces (Q6248) regarding the allocation of sugar. The South East Area Army requests 78,000 lb. of brown sugar to be allocated to 14 camps in Rabaul. The document includes a table which specifies the amount to be supplied to individual camps.
