Content: This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) translation of a Japanese publication captured at Cape Gloucester, presumably late in 1943 during the campaign to capture New Britain. This item is a file of intelligence reports from No. 4 Air Intelligence Unit, No. 1 Company, 2nd Intelligence section between 1 May and 27 November 1943 on Allied air attacks in the Tsurubu (Tuluvu) area. It contains information and statistical data on Allied objectives and tactics, time of attacks, damage sustained and a record of defensive anti-aircraft fire, the location of units billeted in the area and construction work on the local airfields. This item also contains a record of the duties of the Matsuda Detachment and the activities of the Tsurubu and Bushing Boat Units.
