Content: This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) translation of a Japanese publication captured at Butibum on 3 December following the fall of Lae and the Japanese retreat across the Finisterre Ranges. This item contains information on methods of preparing and using bacterial culture media and was issued in June 1941 by No. 1 Section of Sasaki, KO Force. It gives detailed instructions and bacteriological analyses on 19 types of culture media and makes comments on various diseases, such as typhoid, dysentery and cholera.
