Content: | This item is a Japanese-language propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office. An English translation of the text is attached. The message urges members of the Takasago Volunteer Unit, consisting of Formosan auxiliary soldiers, to come over to the Allies rather than to decay into the dirt of Bougainville. The message encourages the Formosan soldiers to consider building the new Formosa after the war. The message guarantees that defectors will be provided with food, clothing and shelter at an Allied camp. |
