Content: This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) translation of a Japanese publication captured in Luzon on 17 June 1945 during the US campaign to recapture the Philippines. This item is entitled "List of force numbers" giving code names and numbers, proper designations, locations and commanding officers of Army units (including air units) in the Philippines, dated 1945 and held by Shun 10641 Force, 175th Independent Infantry Battalion, 103rd Division. Most entries date from late 1943 and 1944. The 142nd Infantry Regiment was absorbed into 33rd Independent Mixed Brigade in late 1943 and the 14th Army became the 14th Area Army in October 1944.
