Content: This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) interrogation report for JA147128 of the 2nd Shipping Field Artillery Regiment, who was captured at Salami on Manus Island on 10 March 1944. JA147128, a 31 year old 1st Class Private from Hiroshima Prefecture, was shot in the arm and leg while seeking food and captured by US troops. During the interrogation, JA147128 provided information on unit organisation, movements, vessels, economic conditions in Japan and morale.
