Content: This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) interrogation report for Corporal JA147022 of the 78th Infantry Regiment Wireless Transmission Company, who was captured at Sel near Saidor on 5 February 1944. JA147022, a 27 year old Corporal from Osaka, was lagging behind his unit and unable to survive on native food when he surrendered to US troops. During the interrogation, JA147022 provided information on unit organisation, movements, communication, the retreat from the Huon Peninsula, and Japanese industries.
