Each record consist of four pages containing detailed personal information on the soldier in question, including his home address, immediate family relationships and his family's finance and social status. Information is also provided on the soldiers' education and/or pre-recruitment occupation. A brief summary of each soldier's post-recruitment progress and/or promotion is provided up until the time of the record's creation, or the date of the soldier's death if he was already deceased by this time. The final page of each record is divided into spaces for remarks by senior officers on the soldier's military career, including such aspects as "thought," "disposition," and "personality." Spaces are also provided for marks given to the soldier's in various military activities, and for any prizes or punishments incurred, but in every case these spaces have been left blank.
