Content: | This item is a Japanese-language propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office. An English translation of the text is attached. The leaflet encourages the recipient to consider surrendering rather than fighting without supplies and dying unnecessarily. 10,000 of them were printed. 6,200 of these leaflets were dispatched to Torokina on 16 January 1945 and 6,000 to Lae on 15 March 1945. 50,000 of this item was further reprinted on 21 June 1945 and dispatched to Hollandia on 26 July 1945. |
