Content: | This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) translation of a Japanese publication captured at Hollandia (White Beach) on 22 April 1944 during the Allied attacks on Japanese positions in northern Dutch New Guinea, which were intended to isolate the 18th Army at Wewak. This item is an extract from a manual entitled "Field Military Police Manual", issued by the Senior Officer's Club of Army Military Police School. It contains a description of military police intelligence duties, propaganda and "fifth column" activities, the interrogation of prisoners of war and the recruitment of secret agents. |
