Content: | This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) interrogation report for 2nd Class Private JA145720 of the 79th Infantry Regiment 2nd Battalion Field Baggage Train, who was captured in Gali near Weber Point on 20 February 1944. JA145720, a 29 year old 2nd Class Private from Osaka, was captured by Australian New Guinea Administrative Unit (ANGAU) troops when he was crossing a river. During the interrogation, JA145720 provided information on unit organisation, movement, morale, and the Nippon Piston Company in Osaka where he used to work. |
