Content: This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) interrogation report for JA147297, a Superior Private with the 6th Navigation Aid Unit, 1st Company, who was captured while suffering from malaria by US troops near Kometto, New Britain, on 24 March 1944. During the interrogation, JA147297 provided information on changes to the conscription system which occurred in 1942 and his employment with the Japanese International Airplane Company.
