Content: This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) interrogation report for 1st Class Private M160 of the 21st Independent Mixed Brigade Independent Heavy Artillery Battalion 2nd Company 1st Platoon 2nd Section, who was captured on a Papuan island on 18 March 1943. M160, a 23 year old 1st Class Private from Osaka, was captured by Australian troops when he and his companions reached an island after the sinking of Oigawa Maru. During the interrogation, M160 provided information on his unit orgnisation, Type 96 Howitzer and morale in Japan.
