Content: This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) interrogation report for Engineer JA147150 of the Akatsuki 9161 4th Battalion 3rd Company, who was captured off Bam Island on 26 March 1944. JA147150, a 31 year old Engineer from Chiba, was clinging to the bridge-grating for a week after his sea-truck, Atsu Maru was sunk. He was rescued by a US flying boat and captured. During the interrogation, JA147150 provided information on unit organisation, movemement, and the sinking of the sea-truck.
