Content: This item is a Japanese-language propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office during the Second World War. An English translation of the text is attached. The message urges the Japanese troops in the Hongorai and Puriata Rivers area to surrender to the Australian forces so that they can help rebuild Japan after the war. It guarantees that Japanese POWs will be treated honourably and given food and medical treatment.
