Content: | This item is a Japanese-language propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office during the Second World War. An English translation of the text is attached. The message states that the war situation is hopeless for the Japanese and urges Japanese troops to surrender so as to serve their country in the future. The item includes two copies of the leaflet. 250,000 of them were printed. About 130,000 of these leaflets were dispatched to Nadzab on 21 and 26 July 1944 and 62,000 to Torokia on 17 December 1944. |
