Content: This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) interrogation report for JA147029, a 1st Class Private with 53rd Infantry Regiment, 3rd Company, who was captured at Kokopo in mid-January 1944. JA147029 was captured by US Marines while resting in a native hut. During the interrogation, JA147029 provided information on Allied prisoners of war in Kobe in mid-1942 and the Mitsubishi Electrical Company (construction materials, production, number of employees, working hours, security, employees quarters, defences). A sketch map is attached.
