Content: This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) interrogation report for JA147151 of the Akatsuki 6168 unit, who was captured off Bam Island on 26 February 1944. JA147151, a 35 year old deck-hand and look-out from Yamaguchi, was clinging to ship wreckage for about a week before he was rescued by a US flying boat. During the interrogation, JA147151 provided information on the movement and sinking of the sea truck, Atsu Maru.
