Content: | This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) interrogation report for Superior Private MIYAMOTO Kenzô of the 2nd Shipping Regiment Headquarters 120th Shore Duties Company 3rd Platoon 3rd Section (Akatsuki 7290) , who was captured in Giruwa on 21 January 1943. MIYAMOTO, a 35 year old Superior Private from Akita, was too weak with malaria to resist when he was captured by Australian troops. During the interrogation, MIYAMOTO provided information on his unit organisation and morale in Japan. His statements were brief and sketchy. |
