Content: | This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) interrogation report for JA147460, who was captured in Hollandia on 24 April 1944. JA147460, a 24 year old civilian employee with the Yajima Labour Group – Civil Construction Unit from Saitama Prefecture, was captured by US troops while bewildered by a shell blast. During the interrogation, JA147460 provided information on service life, conditions in Japan, his attitude towards capture and other races, treatment of natives and Allied propaganda leaflets. |
