Content: This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) interrogation report for Superior Private JA145627 of the 51st Division 15th Independent Anti-Aircraft Machine Cannon Company 1st Platoon 1st Section, who was captured in Kemen in Lae-Markham River Area on 13 October 1943. JA145627, a 23 year old Superior Private from Chiba, was seriously ill with malaria when he was captured by Australian troops. He was the Number 1 operator on a machine cannon. During the interrogation, JA145627 provided information on his unit organisation, movements, and machine cannons.
