Content: | This item is a Japanese-language propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office. An English translation of the text is attached. The leaflet details the shipping losses suffered by the Japanese on 2 November at Rabaul. It reports that the lost shipping capacity amounted to 94,000 tons in total. The messages warns Japanese soldiers in New Guinea and Bougainville that, if the Japanese are losing their ships at the current rate, there may not be enough ships to evacuate them when the time comes. The message blames the Japanese High Command for leading Japan into the war. 100,000 of them were printed. |
