| Content: | This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) interrogation report for 1st Class Private JA145640 of the 115th Infantry Regiment 3rd Battalion 10th Company 2nd Headquarters Squad, who was captured at Bainduang in the Markham Valley on 23 October 1943. JA145640, a 25 year old 1st Class Private from Ashikaga, was left behind after he injured his leg, and was wandering in the jungle when he was captured by Australian troops. He was a runner and rifleman. During the interrogation, JA145640 provided information on his unit organisation and movements, and operations. |
