Content: | This item is a Japanese-language propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office during the Second World War. The leaflet includes a picture of two Japanese girls picking mandarin oranges and a Japanese poem depicting the scene. An English translation of the Japanese poem on the leaflet and explanatory notes about the picture are provided. The purpose of the leaflet is to induce nostalgia among Japanese soldiers. 50,000 of them were printed. |
