Content: This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) interrogation report for Corporal NOMA Tsunenori of the Seibu 34 Unit, who was captured in Giruwa on 25 January 1943. NOMA, a 28 year old Corporal from Ehime, was surprised and captured by Australian troops. NOMA's unit had been sent to Basa in order to reinforce the Japanese troops. During the interrogation, NOMA provided information on unit movements, developments after their landing in Basa, and morale in Japan. He had several copies of Allied propaganda leaflets when he was captured.
