Content: | This item is a so-called surrender leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office. The message mentions the surrender of a corporal from the 4th Field Medium Artillery Unit at Mamagota and encourages the recipients to follow his example. Another message printed on the back stresses that the duty of the Japanese servicemen now is to preserve their lives and to contribute to the post-war reconstruction of Japan. It guarantees that Japanese POWs will be treated well in accordance with international law. |
