Content: | This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) translation of a Japanese publication captured at Namber (Noemfoor Island) on 12 August 1944 during the Allied attacks on Japanese positions in northern Dutch New Guinea, which were intended to isolate the 18th Army at Wewak. This item is an extract from an administrative file dated 22 May 1941 to 3 March 1943, entitled "Selected questions and answers regarding wartime roster of military records (civilian officials roster)", issued by Manchuria 458 Force and reprinted by Manchuria 369 Force . It contains questions on the procedural problems of making administrative entries and reports and the responsibilities for keeping military records. The answers refer to Military Records Regulations, Kwantung Army Administration Records. |
