Content: This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) interrogation report for JA147121 of the 141st Infantry Regiment 3rd Battalion Headquarters, who was captured in Talasea on 13 March 1944. JA147121, a 23 year old 1st Class Private (Orderly) from Ehime Prefecture, was taking care of a medical officer who had contracted malaria and fell behind his unit during the retreat. He was captured by US Marines. During the interrogation, JA147121 provided information on unit organisation, movement, morale among the soldiers and shipping conditions in the Inland Sea.
